On Saturday 21st March 2015, The True Believers Comic Festival will be held at Cheltenham Racecourse. The True Believers Comic Festival is a new comic book event for the Gloucestershire area that will celebrate everything people love about comic books, from the writers, artists and creators to the traders, fans and cosplayers.
It is the first major comic book event in the county of this size and Cheltenham Racecourse is the perfect venue, boasting a huge space for a convention floor, plus rooms for live creator panels, a cosplay catwalk show and an artist’s alley. It is the aim with this event to give people a great family day out that can be enjoyed by fans new and old.
The Guest List currently includes Nich Angell, Kate Brown, Mike Collins, Lee Garbett, Jon Lock, Lee Sullivan, Dylan Teague, Lee Townsend & Emma Vieceli, with more guests to be announced soon.
The KickStarter campaign for the event launches on 31st January. The Kickstarter will act as pre-sale platform for tickets and table hire for exhibitors and vendors, offering people the chance to get exclusive rewards and deals with their tickets and tables, as well as an exclusive True Believers Ticket to the event, which offers exclusive extras on the day for those ticket holders.
Everyone who buys their tickets or tables for the event through the Kickstarter will also receive an exclusive True Believers print by comic book artist Nich Angell.
